Adding on for more shop space

Hi all,
We had decided to add onto the existing 24 x 24 garage with an additional 22 x 16 area.

The old garage was getting pretty tight with my transmission Overhaul area and working on the Model A so it was time to go out some. I didn't want to kill off my back yard view so an area that was useable and sized right would be the best way to go.

Here are some pictures and I'll work on more as we move along.

When we bought the house we knew we would be adding on so at the time we finished off the garage with power, insulation and sheet rock we also framed out and installed a header for a 7 x 9 opening in the back wall so when it was time to remove the wall it was just a matter of pulling down the sheet rock and insulation and cutting it out.

With the footings done they poured the foundation and pulled the forms, it's moving along.

I guess I should update that stuff, Huh?

Located in Windsor Locks, CT. Not bad but need heat in the winter if you want to do anything in the shop, kinda like A/C down there.

I lived in your neck of the woods for a while, you can add more layers when it gets cold outside but people don't care much for a guy wearing only a sock trying to stay cool don't understand that one much.

They got it ready to back fill and pour the floor.

Since doing the floor now would include cutting the original foundation so the floors would be the same height it was supposed to be done once the walls were framed and the roof was on, since it can rain and it would all go into the existing garage.

We'll see that didn't work well. The day after they poured the floor, it was suppose to rain HARD. Three sides and the only place for the rain to go is inside the garage, not good.

After some hard rain, we got walls and a roof, moved fast at this point.

Exterior finished and ready for the inside work to start. Got the electrical and insulation ready to go, maybe next week.
