I need to add on to my garage. My 24x24 is not big enough to hold all my power equipment and still be able to do minor repairs and work inside. I would like to add about 20' wide and 12' outward to the back gable end of my garage. I was thinking of doing it this size so I can go with the same roof pitch and everything will tie nicely together.

Does anyone have any suggestions on a better way to do this? I am getting quotes for a pad next week that will tie to existing pad. Has anyone done this that may be able to shed some light on things to watch out for? Tips? Ideas?

Thanks.

Your pics didn't show up.

Your idea will work fine. The only bad thing is that it takes a little more time to cut the siding to fit if using siding. Also make sure you flash everything real well.
