Adding outlet for welder after walls finshed

Buddy needs to add an outlet for a stick welder but the inside of the garage is finished and has a recessed panel. (I thought ahead when I did mine ) I think the plan is to put the plug on the west wall....panel is on the NE corner so it'll be about 32 foot run or so.....too much to want to tear all the walls apart.

I'm thinking just run PVC conduit along the wall from the panel to the outlet. As for the conduit to the panel - we can make an access into the wall cavity to get into the panel easy enough. Would you just use a conduit body to make that turn into the wall then flexible into the panel or keep it rigid?

From a purely ASTHETIC Standpoint...when it comes to surface mount electrical, I think the look of EMT is much nicer then PVC.

If you do run PVC along the wall use plenty of hangers to support it. Long lengths will sag over time.

You can use a short piece of NM-B from the panel into the back of a surface mounted box and go from there with THHN in conduit.
