I have a few cheap fluorescent lights that I would like to add pull chains to. I have a few extra switches I picked up for my ceiling fans. I just need to know which wires to clip into to splice the switch into. Thanks.

usually, "the black one" i.e. the "hot" from the source / switch. Check for proper wiring, hot, neutral and ground.

Not trying to be nasty but if you have to ask how to wire a switch then maybe you shouldn't be doing it. Safety first.

yea. a 110v pull chain should have 2 black wires. just basically put it inline with the black in the light.

if you have ever installed an inline fuse holder for a car radio, boat, etc.... works the same way. snip the line, and the switch goes in the middle.

sounds easy.
