Adding sand to Rust-Oleum Concrete Patch and Repair

I picked up a 24 oz box of "Rust-Oleum Concrete Patch and Repair" at Home Depot. I've read that I can add sand to extend the coverage. I'm about to fill a few pits and feather out some areas of my concrete floor that have abrupt edges. Will this be ok to use prior to epoxy coating my garage floor?
How much sand can I use per 24 oz of the epoxy repair product?

I didn't add sand but i have used the product. It goes pretty far by itself. No clue if it will be enough for yours. I will say that you need to make sure there really isn't sand dirt in the pits or it will not adhere properly. I epoxied on top of it and it's held up great.

I'm going to angle grind some high spots that are left over from filling some fairly deep pits. I should really have the entire floor ground smooth but I'm willing to accept that the floor won't be perfect.
I'll use the Rust-Oleum epoxy filler to smooth out as best as I can. A little sand will help fill deeper flaws.
