Adding wainscot or paint

To add metal for a two tone, the top has to overlap the bottom portion so water will not get in.
Myself, personally, I like the looks of the barn the way it is. I think by the time you get your grass grown, and maybe a little landscaping, you won't notice how tall the walls are. If anything, if you want to break up the expanse of the brown, just add a porch on the front over the entrance door over to the corner. Then your eye will be drawn to the porch and not the sidewall.

I painted my with two colours using top quality paint from Sherwin Williams. It has held up fine for about 4 yrs now. The siding was about 40 yrs old though and all I needed to do was clean the dirt off. With new siding I would clean it very well to get all of the oils off of the metal. Personally, I think it would look better with a darker bottom.

Sir, I will have you know- that shade is referred to as TAUPE. It is all the rage in South Sudanese right now. Not quite tan, not quite pink.

never under estimate the ingenuity of interior designers when it comes to color names.
I second the darker color on the bottom... maybe black?

Looks brown to me. But then again, when I go into Sherwin Williams, I get amazed at 30 different shades of white with all the different names..
Personally, I like 2 tone pole barns. I'd paint the bottom few feet the same color as your trim.

Personally, I wouldn't paint brand new metal siding. I think all you would be doing is give the steel company a reason not to warranty anything if you have an issue.
If you decide to go with wainscoting, everyone of those sheets is going to have be cut. It's going to quite labor intensive.
