Here's a few pix of my shop..as you see the old one had more head space. It had 12 ft side walls&in the middle I belived ran up to 18 ft.We had a lift, gantry crane in there etc so more than enough head room.Well the roof fell in&@the time I was living out of state&couldn't let all of the equipment get ruined so really fast I made a jerry rigged pitched roof &through up some osb&rolled roofing&called it a day.I'm not a carpenter&really just used whatever materials I had it looked horrible!
*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$ Well moved back&got a quote to fix the pitch make it all nice&sturdy all new materials@a really good price.Well I'm pleased&love it the only thing is I hate that the front doors are 7ft 2 in as the back are 13 ft.That's my fault becaue of what I did when the roof fell in.Well Its not the headroom so much as I can get in the back&be fine its just the front doors!
*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$ I can get my lifted truck in there but if I wanna get a horse trailer in there I have to use the back doors. So I've been planning on having 16ft added to the back. But part of me wants to say screw it&have the shop built back how it was.As I can get it done for under 5k.That would be a whole new shop.Just would have to tear this one down.Wife thinks its stupid&I can't decide what do you think?I just had this thing fixed in Aug all new wood&metal so Id be losing a lot of cash.
*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$*@#$ I just hate driving down the road to the back doors..oh&b.t.w. There's now a gravel driveway to the front&back...the inside pic is before it was cleaned up&insulated.
So my question should I just add a 16 ft addition or go with a new building? My current building is 24 ft x 37 ft
