This has been a really drawn out process so I've been reluctant to start a thread. Things are starting to pick up so...

I've had a 30' x 60' pole building with no insulation or plumbing. Adding on 36' x 48'. This will house my business and be my shop. Two offices and a bathroom in the west end of the existing building. Inventory storage in the remaining space. The addition will be my loading/unloading bay for my business and my toy shop.

Way back in June they came and did the grade work for the addition;

The neighbor's garage is on my lot. Not sure what I'm going to do here to hold grade.

Had to take some of the concrete out of the existing building. Those overhead doors aren't going to be there anymore;

Initially rented an electric jackhammer. Ended up with a skiddy w/a breaker;

This last chunk was terrible;

The existing posts are coming out. There'll be a 12' overhead and a walk door between the two halves;

Got the grade work done then realized the gas service didn't come in where I thought it did. Had to wait a month for the gas company to come and retire that line. See that yellow line in the pic? Ooops

Once the gas line and concrete was out of the way builders came and set pole bases. This was August;

The offices are going to be in the West end of the existing building. I wanted a porch. It's a little narrow but we're encroaching on the right of way.

Once the pole bases were set stub in water/sewer, very end of August;

My side of the street has about everything on it. There was about 12' they had to finish by hand;

I had to leave as they were finishing this. Here you can see the stub up for the floor drain and there will be a bathroom in the corner of the addition. There will also be a bathroom in the west end with the offices(this pic is out of line time-wise);

Oh yea, while the street was opened up they ran the new underground 3-phase service wire across it;

I also needed to make brackets so we could yank the old posts out while the mini hoe was there;

Preloaded the wall with a handyman jack. I know this was just a pacifier but made me feel better;

Weld stuff together;

In this pic the jack's released. Didn't even close the .035 sawzall cut, success;

I'll run my business out of it. Most of the addition will be my toy shop.

The old wood building is mine as well(same lot). I actually kind of like it.

Once all that was done my concrete guy came and did the final grade work and door footing;

For floor drain. I can run to the city sewer but they want you to have at least a small pit;

This was early Sept. My concrete guy did this much quicker than I expected and I really didn't have my stuff together for the floor heat so now wait on me.

This was sitting there when I got back to town Wednesday night;

FWIW I've been on the builder's schedule for late Oct/early Nov the whole time. Just wanted to get some of this stuff done a little bit more ahead of time.

They started Friday the 8th.

The truss company was dropping the trusses when I pulled up. The micro-lamb for the door header came with the trusses is why it's not set.

Spent Saturday afternoon smoothing out where they brought in the water/sewer and spreading some gravel to try to make it nicer for the crew;

That gets it to now the 10th
