Hey guys, i was toying with the idea of adding on to my garage, i currently have a 13' x 19' detached, it was built in the late 50's early 60's it has 2 courses of cinder blocks sitting on what looks to be a 10" deep concrete footing, this baffles me as the footing and one course block is only 18" below the ground... obviously it's okay as the garage has been around this long, i just want to mimic off the back maybe 4-5 ' due to my property i cannot go back much further... thoughts? i'm in Connecticut by the way.
