You can buy a very good Cresent adjustable for under $5. I have a box full of them.
They are just as good as the Snap-on. There are many good brands at a fraction of the price. Nothing Special about Snap-on adjustable wrenches.

Problem with the crescent brand is there is a lot of slop and u have to get a very large one for any decent width

And to anser the question about flank drive....I'm not sure on that one. I know snap on has a flank drive adjustable but I don't think it is in the wide mouth version

I LOVE my snap on adjustable. It is a 12" I think? Maybe 10". It does have flank drive plus teeth, it's tight, nice soft grip , and made on Portugal ( I think). Totally worth it!
