Saw a Cornwell bolt/stud extractor of a design I had never encountered today, but browsing their site is difficult and its not as complete as SO. On to the tool:

One side was 3/8 drive, the other side had three jaws that could cam open and then the piece was run CCW it locked up onto the fastener or so it would appear. Can anyone tell me what I was looking at? Im guessing it was OTC/Lisle/ or the like but I've never seen one before.

A stud remover? They come in all shapes and sizes. I thought is was for removing broken bolts like an ez out. Sorry.

To be fair I would probably use it both ways when the bolt got rounded enough. But correctly it probably is a stud extractor.

It looks very similar to the one you found rickster, do you have an opinion on it?
