Other than the dealer, where might I be able to find a similar tool for adjusting the steering stem free play on my motorcycle? The dealer makes me cringe because the mechanic uses a flathead screwdriver and a ball peen hammer. I bought a 3/8" drive spanner attachment at Cycle Gear today, but I don't know if it will work yet. Harbor Freight and Sears don't have anything either. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1340475873.215325.jpg

Looks just like a hook spanner to me, I have all sizes in pin and hook varations along with some older fixed ones. Check eBay for hook spanners in armstrong,Williams or proto as those are the most common brands.

Enco carries them, but are probably imports. I bought 2 and they seem fine. In the catalog picture they are black, but the ones I received are chrome.

With some creative machining or grinding you could make one from a socket which would allow you to use a torque wrench... If it's anything like my goldwing head bearing adjusting nut..
