Which works well IF you keep the punch perfectly plumb!Maybe you can post a link to the vid you saw it in and give us a headstart in answering your question. I have seen a few different transfer punches that fit different sized holes. Most use a cone to center the punch.

Fumbling with a set of transfer punches to find the right size is a PITA, but not enough to justify $175 for those admittedly nice-looking adjustables. I use my transfer punches once or twice a week.
