Never seen one of these, thought it was pretty cool, not sure of its durability for HD use.

Adjustable Wrench
Me neither! There are many categories of adjustable crescent-type wrenches beyond the most common (worm gear), including levers, wedges, rack-and-pinion, and other mechanisms, we have an entire thread devoted to exploring the oddball alternatives, and I have looked through most of the 1,874 US Patents for adjustable wrenches on DATAMP, and I don't recall seeing anything like this before, even as a type or category of adjustable, let alone that particular wrench.Never seen one of these,
Agreed! Ingenious in its simplicity. The steel "shims" as the guy in the video calls them remind me of the leaves or blades of a thickness or feeler gauge. I wonder how thick each one is? Since it's of German origin, whatever the thickness is, it's almost certainly measured in metric....thought it was pretty cool,
I am sure the blades would eventually get compressed and distorted with enough torque....not sure of its durability for HD use.
