Some are notched for a three way grip and also the locking type are handy. ;)

In the past I used a 24" on a steam loco. I use from 10 to 12" all the time on the tractor and implements. Great for a hammer.

My favorite thing now is I collect 4" and 6" just to see how many brands I can get. Anyone got any 4" and 6" that I need?

I am surprised to see your the only one on this thread that uses the knipex version :dunno:

It seems great, and I am looking at picking up a set down the road sometime. :rocker:

I also use them and love them. However, theres sometimes an advantage with a standard crescent when access is limited and you have to flip the wrench. The pliers wrench is best in one direction.

Usually its back and forth between bahco 9073 rp and pliers wrench and a little channellock wide mouth adjustables for variety.

Knipex plier wrench has its use, I find it fiddly to set up on a bolt (i think they make an auto-adjusting kind which might be better) but once sized that ratcheting action is nice.

Standard adjustables seem to find their way into whatever I'm doing eventually.
