Adjusting Bendpak HD-7W cables, issue with LF post lock

So I had a Bendpak HD-7W professionally installed last week. I've run it up and down a few times with my SUV's on it and today I tried to get the lift all the way up and onto its top lock so I could park my SUV underneath it.

Well, the left front post isn't able to get onto the top lock. In fact, you can hear a distinct pause in the "chunk" of the locks, the other three are fairly close but then a bit later that left front "chunks".

I've also noticed that the cable on that post is slack compared to the other three. I've tried to tighten it, but I've run out of room to tighten it using the top nut. Is there another way to take out slack on that cable?

Thoughts?

Take a close look and make sure that cable is still in the groove of all the pulleys! If you just had it installed by a pro. You should have called them to come and fix it!!!

Just discovered it this afternoon, install company is closed until Monday. I've already sent them an email and will call them Monday first thing.

However if this is an easy thing I can take care of myself, I'll do it.

No it's not that difficult to do. But since they installed it. It should be on their dollar to fix it. For example it happened on my 4 post during transporting it to my house. It was on an equipment trailer and the cable jumped out of the pulley.
When it did this it tore quite a few of the strands in the cable. Two new cables = $400.00!! If they find out you have messed with it they probably wont pay to fix it.
It's your lift do what you want. Just wanted to pass on my experience with cables!

This is exactly why I stay away from cable type lifts. I prefer direct drive only.

One time about 10 years ago at a Saturn dealer I was working at, we had a lift cable snap with a car in mid air and it was a terrifying experience for the guy under it. The locks caught it, but it sounded like someone fired a 12 gauge in the shop.
