I've lurked for a while and it seems you guys have knowledge on just about everything imaginable. My mother-in-law's aluminum sliding glass door has always been hard to open. I removed it from the track this weekend to check out the rollers to see if they just needed to be adjusted or if they needed to be replaced entirely. The rollers had no adjustment and the hole for the little roller axle had been wallowed out, giving it room to move up and down slightly.

Here is my dilemma, and I really wish I had snapped a picture because it will be harder to explain. I can't find a replacement like it anywhere on the web so far. The roller looks basically like a piece of aluminum C-Channel with the roller in the middle. On each side there is a hole with a screw. One screw tapered to a point and was screwed through the bottom sill. The other had a flat end like a set screw and no hole. I could not figure out how to make this adjust the roller height for the life of me. As far as I can tell, It was either screwed all the way in or not. Even if it isn't screwed all the way in, the weight of the door would push the roller up like it was regardless.

Can I replace these rollers with the common adjustable type that I can find all day online and at Lowes? I assume I can as long as they are the same width and depth. Assuming you can make sense of that description, what do you guys think? :headscrat
