Hi

This is a'before' shot of the inside of my mid 70's snap on roll cab.I can't get the lock to unlock successfully,it keeps jamming. It works by gravity to lock, but raise the bar back up,no go.

Anyone familiar with these type of old snap on locks. It so nearly works,(but you have to pull the whole side plate out of position)Can't progress much until this is sorted out.Lock hasn't been used in years, but I did manage to completely free out the mechanism. the lock is on the side on these models, positioned just above the bar with the bolts /slots.

Hi
I have now sorted out the problem with the locking bar.
Tried everthing, but I just took the studs off the bar, unscrewed them ,and put them back.
Now works like it should. A spring, wasn't required ,like I thought it may have done.

This may be helpful if someone else works on a side locking roll cab.
