One of the members here was sad that he missed the secret santel so I messaged this individual privately and offered to send him a Merry Christmas present.

The member died Sunday and his wife reached out to me. I need to go back through my messages to remind myself what his username is here, but I wanted to understand how the admins feel about me. Announcing any of this to existing members and where it would be done?...

He was a secret Santa previous years and he missed it this year and was sad and so I told him I would send him some stuff this year...

And apparently what I sent meant a lot so he kept the letter and his wife found it and so they reached out.

I'll go through my own messages and associate his name to his username here

died unexpectedly Sunday from a heart attack and I'm trying to understand who I need to contact if anyone what is considered appropriate here.

I will be sending a letter to his widow probably this weekend so if anyone wants me to include anything let me know.

Andy, can you get an actual name or a link to an obituary from his widow ? I try to do some verification as to not prematurely make the change.

You know never even occurred to me to verify it, especially given that they included a photo of my letter
