Advance Auto $5 Battery Return Gift Card

Was looking at the Advance Auto sale flyer for November and noticed this.

You can return a used battery to any Advance Auto Parts location and receive a $5 gift card.

This ends on 11-30-2013.

There is no mention of any limits on the number of returns allowed.

I know I have several batteries sitting around that I will try to get returned.
Let me know of the results you get from this.

Around here batteries bring $10-12 each at a scrap/recycling place. They are bought as a half bat, bat, or bat and a half for lawn mower, regular auto, then diesel batteries. $5/10/15

I believe O'Reilly's offers $5 per battery as well. As least they do to 'shop' customers even if they don't for retail/walk-ins.

O'Reilly's offers this but it is limited to auto batteries. Cannot be used for marine, arc, or mower batteries. Normally people are aware that the local battery warehouse offers a better deal anyway.

Interstate Batteries gives $10 cash for an auto battery. Even if you are not purchasing another one. They give $5 for lawnmower batteries.

Not a very good deal. They make more than $5 off of the core, and so can you.

Yeah, Napa gives us (commercial account) $10 or so, our Interstate account is $13 credit each. I'd gladly give you $10 cash for one.
