Careful with parts guys. Lately I have been really burned with the quality of Advance's parts. It's almost like they are becoming the Harbor Freight of car parts. I spent all day Saturday rebuilding the A/C and flushing it in my '95 Mustang GT. I went online and ordered the majority of the expensive parts from ebay. But the main lines I got from Advance online.
After many hours of work and running the vacuum down for two hours, I did the charge. All was great until I disconnected the manifold set from the main lines. The low pressure valve was stuck open and dumped all the freon out into the atmosphere. $60 of freon and probably a few dead polar bears now due to this bad part.
I called the online 800 number and they said for me to take the line in to any store for a refund, but it was the managers discretion to refund the freon or not. Trying to get by there today after work.
BTW, had to go to another parts store for the lines since Advance was out of stock in town.
And don't get me started about the bad angles machined into their Chevy V6 water pumps that cause the gaskets to blow out after a weeks use.
