Steve! Thanks for the pics! Unfortunately, I do not have a Advance Auto Parts store in my area (New Mexico); again thanks for the layout shot! :) While not asked to cross your NDA; is Gearwrench have plans to expand like this to other markets and vendors? With such a broad line of tools now.. it only makes sense that you need better retail presence out there, to sell all these tools you guys have created!

Yes, we'll have an announcement soon regarding an expanded (but not as broad as Advance) offering at Sears Megastores.

I sure am glad that my Advance keeps them out in the open. You wouldn't believe the haul I got today at lunch while the guys were busy at the counter. Amazing what you can stuff into a pair of cargo pants. :)

Just kidding...maybe. :bounce:

Steve, Advance Auto Parts/Advance are part of Checker Auto (I think); are you going to put your tools at Check Auto Parts Stores as well? We have Checker in New Mexico...

I finally had a chance to check out the GW inventory at Advance Auto. All the stuff was behind the counter, but the guy let me go back there to put my hands on the tools.

To be honest, I was neither impressed nor unimpressed. It looks like most of the other imported stuff by Evolv, Duralast, HF, Companion, Ampro, Great Neck. In particular, they had a quick release pearhead that looked exactly like the evolv ratchets I saw at Sears. I actually didn't know they made these; I only thought they made the 60-tooth, NON-quick release pearheads.

I also noticed that the fine tooth 1/2 drive had a HUGE head.

The combination wrenches (non-ratcheting) had the open-end groove ala Danaher.

The screwdrivers and pliers looked like typical drivers and pliers. They had the bimaterial grips, but everybody else seems to have that, too

There were no rotoheads on the shelf.

Overall impression somewhat indifferent
