It's a clay bar substitute.
Eagle One Surface Prep Mitt clearanced out for $5, normally $25.
The website showed full price, I picked up two locally, price marked as clearance in store

Thanks for the heads up. They have a lot more detailing stuff than that on clearance. The stain removers from Scotchgard and Blue magic. Turtle wax detailer. Meguiar's rubbing compound. Several wheel cleaners also. Then the air fresheners too.

FYI, here's what they are copies of, at $50 each. If you get the medium and fine grit and then the pads, too, you're into a couple hundred bucks.
I'll use these Eagle One towels for my daily driver and save my Nanoskin towels for my Truck and parents' new cars.

Has anyone tried these mits specifically to comment on the perfornance?

I am always cleaning up family member cars and wonder if I should pick up anymore for my detailing stock. If they work I will eventually use them up. A lot quicker than a clay bar.

I attended a detail seminar by Griots and they had theirs for $50. The good thing about it is that unlike the clay if you drop it you just rinse it and be on your way and it lasts much longer than the clay. Out here in Southern California we don't have too many Advance Auto's and they are Car-Quest here but shows none in stock within a 75 miles radius so....

Just stopped at a store and bought 1 more. 3 should last me quit sometime since they say they are reuseable. I contemplated buying both but sounds like 3 will do a lot of cars. Wish I had one to do my crew cab f150 when I bought it, the clay bar sucked on a vehicle that big.

Yeah different mitts are made better or worse but they can last from 5-50 uses depending on the quality.

They work great. I couldn't believe how fast I was able to do my fleet. Thought I was going to have to repaint the hood on my Z28, but the mitt worked great and pulled all the road grime out. I'll have to make the drive to pick some more up!

I use the Eagle 1 Wipe & Shine.
