While Advance Auto is planning to close several hundred stores across the country, they're having a fire sale on lots of tools and parts. I've seen discounts on DieHard tool sets, individual Lisle tools down to $0.05, and other items. Of course, YMMV depending on location and availability, but below are some deep discounts I've found. Unfortunately their site isn't the easiest to find the discounts with but it's worth sharing.

Forney Cowhide Palm Glove - now $2.05 (75% off $8.39)
Lisle 61600 Filter Wrench - $0.05 (99% off $15.79)
POLICE SECURITY Mini Widescope Work Light - $0.05 (99% off $12.99)

Type "Clearance" into the search and it shows many pages. I'm seeing a lot of Gearwrench individual sockets for less than two bucks each.

I ordered ~$100 ($80 after the Winter20 online code) of various parts that were good deals
Lots of square and angle iron stock (useful for brackets etc) - Search under Forney Clearance

However you will regularly find items that you can add to cart for "free" home delivery. The website is very laggy.
So you add the item, then have to go to cart and remove it when computer realizes that it is not in stock.

Annoying but ended up being good prices
The Forney 240 volt wall receptacles are a good price at $4.85

Most of the items seem "high" priced and marked down 75% to seem like a deal. Some are, most aren't much cheaper than any other store. For instance the Gearwrench sockets, they're marked down to ~$1-2 from "$7" but you can get them from most placed online for $2-3. Same as the jack above. It's shown as originally $188 marked down 75% to $47. Jegs has a similar one (but yellow) that's $77 all year round.
And you don't have to deal with an extremely frustrating website like Advance

I had more time today to go and pick through looking for things of use
A couple of items that were (as of typing) still available for free home ship

Description is funny, but this should be a gearwrench 10 mm ratcheting flexhead combination wrench
(No idea why they have a 1¢ core charge.....)

5"x1/2" soapstone, 144 pieces

32mm gearwrench ratcheting wrench

diehard 3/4" 19" breaker bar
Reviews are poor - quality must be mixed so buyer beware.

Dont forget the extra 20% off WINTER20

Just got an email that I am getting a refund for a portion of my order as it was out of stock. Still some good deals but the most useful items were obviously the first to go. I wish I could get the PB Surface shield and some other things delivered over here. Thanks again.

Searched Lisle and added many things to the cart. It acted like it was going to let me have them shipped then it said everything was out of stock.

I did get 3 gallons of the surface shield shipped... We'll see...

One concern is that Surface Shield is flammable apparently someone on a ford forum had his truck catch fire after using it and apparently his insurance guy was saying it was his fault. It does say:

Is surface shield flammable?

Unusual Fire & Explosion Hazards: This material may be ignited by extreme heat, sparks, flames or other ignition sources (static electricity).

Check your local store for dash cameras, if you are interested. They show sold out online but my local store had some. I got one for $12.70.

A helpful employee filled me in on gossip: she said Advance got a new CEO, reportedly they are clearancing out lines they will no longer carry. The store closures are for redundant poor performing stores and stores located in "high minimum" wage states. It is gossip, but she is optimistic about the stores future.

They sold off world pac for 1.5 billion, they’re flush with cash and dumping non performing stores. 500 out of 5000 doesn’t seem like a big deal.

One more: plastic rivets. I have the HF kit and the rivets don't hold up. No knowledge on this kit.

KIT

$20.25
Good catch
And to further that - it seems that a lot of their HeliCoil sets are on clearance
I loaded up on some

Zip available at my store, but good prices.

3 ton jack for $80 seems decent too, essentially HF black friday pricing.

My order for the surface shield was canceled last night. Its too far of a drive to the nearest store that has some in stock...

I've got 5 gallons of wool wax anyways, I just wanted to try the SS...

Needed to get out of the house so I meandered to the local Advance. Found some Mothers detailing stuff on clearance and I asked about the PB Surface Shield. Poor feller acted like he had never heard of the stuff but he was able to ship it to the store... I should theoretically have 4 gallons and 8 spray cans coming this week, we'll see. The dude laughed when he said I saved over $340, total was $82 I think. So if you want some, maybe call the store to see if they can ship it between stores.

No Lisle stuff was on clearance in the store and I didn't feel like trying to go through his computer to pick out stuff I wanted.

Funny thing, one of the employees was telling the other sales associates that dash cameras were on clearance. I think someone mentioned that in this thread.

I found some good deals on oils (Fram Hydraulic for $30/5 gallon) and Lucas products (75% or so off). Also bought all the $0.75-1.00 Champ spark plugs for small engines that I could find.

The diamond in the rough deal my dad found was most of their loaner kits for 50-75% off. Oddly, the valve spring compressor is USA. We both have better slide hammers, but the case with all the adapters is pretty convenient, especially for mobile work. There were also some like new inner tie rod kits and fan clutch kits, but I already had the latter.

I wasted over an hour going through the slow *** website and had 17 items ready for free shipping. Well upon checkout NONE were available. Yay:mad:
there site really is pretty crappy. I wasted a bunch of time too but did manage to find some good local deals. One I picked up, the other is still processing even though I placed the order saturday morning. That order they did change one item (surface shield) from qty 1 to qty 2. I'll call them tomorrow to see why it isn't ready yet.

Yeah I don't feel like going to the store. This was a "I'm only buying stuff cuz I'm sitting on my couch" type of purchase :ROFLMAO:

Is it flammable only when applied? Do you know if the person that had the fire applied it to exhaust components or something like that?

Thinking about getting this instead of Fluid Film, and actually found a 5 Gallon bucket available, but am concerned about fire risk.

Thank you for posting the numbers. I was able to grab 13 of various ones yesterday. Confirmation this morning that they are on their way.

No real experience, my local store has the gallon bucket of surface shield so I researched it and found some concern about fire risk, I guess it never dries, was hoping to get some feed back here before spraying all over, regardless I would stay away from exhaust, I may use it on core support and frame rails, but if my truck catches fire it'll probably save me money as it's a money pit
