Advance Auto Parts Coupon Code Question

So I've been eyeing the Armstrong MAXX Flex heads ever since joining this site. Seems the best deal is epsteins or Advance Auto Parts with the coupons. I just ordered the 1/2" drive for 83 with coupon code TRT41.

I want to order the 1/4" and 3/8" drives to complete the set. Right now they have a 15% off $50, with a $25 coupon off a $50 dollar order later on. I know they don't allow stacking coupon codes, but since they send you the $25 dollar coupon and you have to be logged in to your account to use it will they stack these?

Are you talking about stacking them after the initial $50+ purchase, and having the second purchase be 15% + $25 off?

I doubt it, but worth a shot. In all honesty I wouldn't be too concerned with 15% off an already 50% off purchase.

It says this in the fine print of the $25 coupon off $50 future purchase:

"Coupons are not combinable with any other promotional offers."

Here is the link to the fine print http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/content_sitewide-15-percent-off-50-140126___

I shop AAP all the time with store pick up and ship to home. I personally go over to RetailMeNot and just find the best percentage off at the time, and go with that. A bird in the hand (40% off) is better than two in the bush (trying to stack two), is the way I look at it.

I've only had basic Craftsman before, but I absolutely hate their ratchets. The 1/4" CM is pretty short and I think the Armstrong is like 5 1/4". Does a long 1/4" come in handy? Any suggestions for a nice, decent priced, 1/4" ratchet then?

I used CM for a long time (also had a set of Danaher era Kobalt ratchets; same thing), and couldn't believe the amount of slop I'd been putting up with, once I upgraded.
I bought a set of Snap-On dual 80s, and traded the old Kobalts in for their current fine tooth Taiwan counterparts under warranty.
Both are great, but my go to ratchets have become my Gearwrench comfort grip flex heads. Great fine tooth action, and have been able to take a hell of a beating. I use them instead of a fixed head ratchet even when I don't need the flex.

If you're looking on Advance, it's worth checking out these sets:

I have never been able to stack coupons, but you should definitely search around as SMKS suggested. You can play around with the different codes online and see which one gets you the lowest price.

No luck stacking those promotions, but I'm usually able to use a 40% off code and then get another 5% of my pretax total back through Chase Ultimate Rewards. I imagine other cash back sites work too.

A124 is better than the above WD7, 35% off code in a couple instances.

Applied Promotion: A124
$10 off orders over $30,
$25 off orders over $70,
$40 off orders over $110.
Online only.

I couldn't get any codes to stack either.

Advance seems to have the best discount codes of any of the big online auto parts stores with local B&M locations. Blows Auto Zone out of the water.

Thanks for the lead on the retailmenot.com site; I did not know about it.

just google: advanceautoparts.com coupon

Then look for results from: techbargains, dealspl, and retailmenot. They usually show the best coupons.

Dont forget to use ebates.com for another 5.5% on TOP of the coupon as well.

If you want to sign up to ebates thru my referral link, you can sign up here: http://www.ebates.com/rf.do?referrerid=ybD/r3wdejOow9Xzx4+mww==
They are currently offering new members a $10 bonus for signing up after making a $25 purchase.
