For years most fluids have been exempt from discounts, at least in my experience.

Yup, way on the bottom of their email the terms and conditions excludes hot buys, oil change specials (oil + filter) and motor oil, plus a bunch of brands and categories of stuff.

Not doubting your experiences with the 20-25+ % off but I've used those codes for the oil change specials before. The way Advance has jacked up the prices on all their products and pushed the 25% code makes one watch the bottom line. For example they are one of the most expensive for quick struts.

I select the "pay in store" option and use the gift card as part of the payment when I pay in store.

With Autozone you can apply the gift card online, but they don't "stack" with other coupons or discounts, in-store or online. Their system will only accept one "discount" per order and they consider gift cards "discounts".

With Advance, select the "pay in store" option to use the gift card.

Ya I agree Advanced can be cheaper than Oriellys I just purchased a blower motor for my Dodge, looking around Advanced had the 4 Season one for model year for @ $100 list but with the 25% off, Orielly's had it $112 didn't find any any discount. Both were in local store stock.

Parts Geek online had the same one to my door for $62 and some change including the shipping though

I buy certain things at the local AA/AZ whenever possible but the price AA had for KYB Strut-plus SR4168 $249.99 was not competitive with RA $127.79 and my savings grew more when I ordered 4 strut-plus. My point was to watch the bottom line pricing despite the big 25% discount thats posted everywhere online. I have success using the 25% discount to my advantage several times at AA but not for the KYBs.

One primary benefit of AA (and AZ) is the lifetime warranty on many parts. If you are are planning to keep the vehicle a long time, the two or three strut replacements would cost more at RA than AA, assuming AA offers those struts with the lifetime warranty.

The local convenience is worth something, too, especially if your vehicle has a less common configuration of parts. I'm told the reason my Ranger was a mismash of parts is that it was built late in the model year and they were trying to use up inventory. As a result, I often order the "right part" from RA and get something that does not fit.

Did 2 separate orders so I didn't max out at $50 for the discount. To the door, in the end this was $3 less than Rock. It's an exhaust system including clamps and new insulators. All the same Walker part numbers.

Will vary from store to store on whether or not they will do this. Sometimes employees will offer it to help their sales numbers as online orders do not count towards it.

As for the punch cards, have not seen those since before Speed Perks was launched. They were probably discontinued.

Helpful store manager at one of my local stores explained this to me about two years ago. Now I call her first, she checks the code, and lets me know before I place the order if it will work in-store.

One other difference to note, SpeedPerks have no required minimum purchase online but do have a $20 required minimum purchase in-store. Apparently there is no way to over-ride that in-store, so if you want to use the SpeedPerks for free stuff you have to order online for in-store pickup.

They do not require a minimum $20. I used a $5 one on a $6 purchase last week in store. I did have to add a drink to get it over the $5 before tax. These rules constantly change. What works one day may not work the next. They were even able to look up your Speed Perks and add them to your order for about two weeks last month. They changed that pretty quick and now they cannot look them up for you.

Any code that starts with CPN will work in store. The old punch card coupons were like this. I have never seen any AAP online discount codes starting with CPN though so who knows. My guess is they just price matched it for you.

They keep stacking up and they even give you months and months to use them. Last month I went in to the store to get 2 packs of plastic fender retainers @ 3.99 each for a total checkout at the store cash register for 8-something. Got 5 bucks off. The other day got a code reader online with the 20% of and got another 5 off with the perks coupon

It happened to be the manager who served me and I asked if he'd rather I came in the door to get the 20% and he said to most definitely only do it online.
