Advance Auto promo code partial returns?

If you buy a group of items from Advance Auto using a promo code, and then return one item, do they just refund the discounted item, or do they recalculate the order?

Like if I buy 4 items for $10 each and use LC123, the items would be $6 each. If I then return one, do I get back $6 or do they recalculate the order at $30 which gives no discount and give me back $0?

The coupon automatically takes an equal percent off each item across the board. The stores only see the price you paid per item when doing an online purchase with in-store pickup, which is how much you will get back if you make a return.

I have done this before, had to return a $40 item out of a $50 order. You will just get back what you paid AFTER discount. The discount will still apply on all other items.

So if you really wanted to be a scumbag )), you could buy fillers to make the coupon mark, then return it.
