If you go with the Advantage, get the manual pump, not the air over hydralic one. I have that and have replaced 2 pumps. The third was from HF.

I forgot about the cylinder in the jack that I had to replace too. I'm a homeowner, have only used it maybe 25-30 times total. I have a Bendpak HD9-XW. I recently purchased the Advantage Rolling air jack and it was $1000 less than the Bendpak RJ45 because I got it at a show price. As I write this post, the web site price of the Advantage is actually more than the Bendpak RJ45. If you are looking for a good deal, try going to one of the shows that Advantage goes to.
The arm width on the Bendpak is a serious limitation. This is why I went with the Advantage. The Bendpak RJ45LP (low profile version) has extended arm reach over the standard RJ45 but even that jack's arm reach is very limiting. Bendpak also specifies the arm reach from outer pad to outer pad instead of center pad to center pad to make it seem like the reach is better than it really is. The center of the pads on the Bendpak RJ45LP will not even reach the pinch welds on a 2018 Subaru Outback which is a pretty typical mid size crossover. You would think being a low profile jack it would accommodate wide sportscars but this is not the case. Forget about it if you have a Corvette because the arms will never reach the lift points on the car.
Note that on the Bendpak RJ45 or RJ45LP you can get the Bendpak 5601179 offset adapter accessory and this will extend the arms a few inches. This will make the arms reach the pinch welds on most mid sized unibody vehicles.
Another thought is that SVI still makes the Bendpak arm extensions but they don't fit the RJ45LP - they only fit the standard RJ45. The arms on the RJ45LP are 22 mm thick and the arms on the RJ45 are 26 mm thick. In order for the extensions to work and be safe they need to fit snug on the jack arm. The SVI web page for the arm extensions say the design can be adapted to any jack. When I asked their salesman about adapting the design to the RJ45LP they told me they will not do that any more. I was told they are no longer customizing the arm extenders to new jacks. Also note that if you extend the arm of the jack, you have to de-rate the weight rating of the jack. A 20% increase in arm length means you need to reduce the weight rating by 20% to be safe.
The long arm reach of the Advantage jack seems to be one of a kind. I was not able to find anything else like it on the market. I spent many days collecting dimensions from several different people at Advantage before I purchased the jack. I have no idea why they don't publish detailed specs for the product - makes no sense to me. Seems like this has been a problem for many years since this tread was started in 2013 and its now 2025. Notwithstanding, after thoroughly reviewing the specs I got from Advantage, it seems like it will fit my Bendpak HD9-XW with the tracks in the wide configuration just fine. My new Advantage jack is supposed to arrive in a day or two so we will see.

I have the HD-9XW and two RJ-45. I did have the jacks custom built as lower profile. This was 7-8 years ago. I recall Bendpak saying it was a combination of their old jack and their new jack, but they were willing to do it and later offered this as an option while they still had stock of the older parts.
My biggest complaint is what you note about the arm length. They do not fit my larger BMWs. I bought one set of the SVI extenders 6-7 years ago. I don’t love them but they work. What I would prefer is to get inside the RJ-45 and fit longer arms, but I don’t know whether that is possible.
Had not seen those jack pad extenders. Looks like a 1.5” gain on each side. They might be enough for me. Will check in the next week since I’ll have my 2018 M5 on the lift for an oil change.
