I feel that there are enough ads everywhere else in our lives that we have no control over. This is the one place where I do have a say about it and there will be no banner ads on here. I hate going on forums where they have 100 sponsors and just as many cheesy *** banners.
Yeah I could sell out and make a good chunk of change, but one of the reasons I created this site was to get unbiased product reviews. If someone says a product *****, I don't want to have to worry about some vendor/sponsor crying to me about it.
I've been contacted a lot by companies wanting to advertise and have actually talked to some of them. In the end though I like this place the way it is. It only costs me $10 a month in hosting fees, and it is worth every penny.
