My shop is a 30x50x12 and the ceiling height where the trusses run is 13'. I cannot for the life of my find my blueprints so at work i slopply drew up how i was planning on running the lights. What is your opinion on the light layout. The lights are 4ft 4500 lume.

If you want anything even remotely close to the recommended 90-100 fc for a usable shop, you will need a lot more than that. Read the layout sticky. It will be time well spent. My garage is almost identical to yours - 30x50x13, 4/12 pitch. I used 20 lights equivalent to yours plus 5 110 watt high bays down the middle. Definitely not too much light.

Depends what you're doing in there, how often you do it, your visual acuity, budget, ceiling-wall finish, actual mounting height of fixtures and exactly what fixtures are being used.

FWIW, just because someone spent millions on machinery doesn't mean they didn't cheap out on lighting. It wouldn't be the first time and it won't be the last.
