Hi i'm new to the form and am in the design stage of my warehouse. My building dimensions are 80' wide by 200' long and 14' to 20' tall with a 6" slab. The critical structure of my building will be made up of 8x8's like a pole barn but i want a 4 foot poured concrete wall for the 2x8 walls to sit onto. My main goal is to make my building future-proof by heavily insulating and making the building as strong a possible. Another major aspect of my building is that i want clear span gambrel style trusses to maximize my interior head room and give a residential look to the exterior. For the inside i plan to have a paint booth, sand blast room, two 2 post lifts, a metal working area, and a wood working area as weal as multiple parking spaces for future cars and rvs. This building will be my home shop and my welding business location. All of your thoughts and advice are appreciated, you guys are my inspiration for my garage.

Did you say 80'x200'? Residential look? How big a span can you get on the trusses?

Unless you live in The Hamptons, a building that size is not going to look residential.
I sure do not know of any neighborhood in Jackson, MI where it would.

Check the web sites of the major metal building co.s for style ideas that may fit your needs.
