I am looking to sell a number of hand tools over the next few weeks, mostly wrenches, sockets, ratchets, etc. and am looking for any advice from experienced sellers to get headed in the right direction. I have never sold online, only craigslist and through friends. I have a paypal acct. and as of right now the plan is to stick to selling in the cont. US using USPS priority flat rate boxes or padded envelope depending on what it is.

Any help is appreciated, Thanks

Good pictures (make sure they are right side up). State if shipping is or is not included in price. List any defects, owners marks, issues with tool(s), etc. Get yourself some USPS regional rate boxes to lower shipping costs to people closer to you, could make the deal. Check potential buyers post count, some scammers sign up to buy stuff using stolen PayPal accounts. Most importantly send pictures of all tools being sold to Mickey O to see if he wants any of them before the sale.

Quick pic of some of the items that will be up for sale, a mix of Snap on, Craftsman, Blackhawk, SK, etc. (no idea why the pic loaded upside down but oh well) :dunno:

Make sure to read the rules for the Classified section and adhere to them. Other than the last part, Mickey gave you some good advice.

Dont be surprised if people are interested in some of the "fancy" stuff early on, and then it slows down. People will buy more once they find a piece or two they are interested in, and if those happen to have sold, they will cancel their "dibs". Be up-front on how long you will hold "Pending", etc.
