Advice needed! Marking after rust removal?

Hey guys,

First time posting and was hoping someone could offer some advice

I recently purchased a used Mitutoyo set square with some light surface marks and rust

Once it arrived I left it to soak overnight in some Evapo-Rust solution, before rising off with water and lightly rubbing down with some ultra fine grade 0000 steel wool to finish, this seemed to help restore the shine somewhat after the material had been left with a dark and dull look following treatment

However I seem to have been left with what appears to be some water marks/streaks and was hoping for some recommendations of how best to remove these?
