Thats an older J head mill, hard to tell with given pics but I would be a little cautious with that one, it looks well used and the ways probably have some pretty worn areas; Doesn't look like a dirty old rust bucket but you would really want to dial indicate everything and check the table X-Y and also check the spindle bearings.

Bridgeports are known for wearing out, and that one has been around for a long time and they're selling cheap and see another Bridgeport (nicer & newer one) in the background. The price is low but it's also a Buyers beware scenario.

Early belt drive J-head machine. Has the round slide instead of a dovetail slide of later models. Probably a 1 hp model. Signs of a lot of use - many coats of paint - table is well used. Looks like it's all there and in running condition.

Price is on the high side for that model in that condition, but not outrageous - if you could get him to 1500 would be better. I might hold out for a newer model, but you might not find one of them easily. It will probably work fine in a small shop.

I would pass. Just too much stuff needed to make it friendly. Lacks power feeds the round heads are notorious for fighting you when tramming the spindle. Would probably be rebuild-able but you will spend thousands doing it.
