I did some swapping for a Danfuss hydrolic powerpack to use on my press build. Guy told me this was off a car hoist. So im mounting the pack to the upright (perpendicular to floor) of the press to keep it compact. A friend of mine (industrail maintance for living) starts lookibg at what im doing. Says "thats got to be mounted horizontally to the floor". Oh s#%@. We start looking at the pick up in the tank and he looks to be correct. Any words of advice on this. Heres a pic of the unit. I know its will be to small, i plan on purchasing a larger pump and motor when i have thr fundage .
If this doesnt work any body need this?

I wish it was 12 volt. I would take it.

Regardless, this would make a great pp to use on a hydraulic press. Lose the bottle jack and replace with a cyliner.

Vent / filler cap on the tank is dead giveaway to me that it's meant for horizontal mounting. This means the pickup tube of the actual pump is bent down toward the opposite side of the tank. You might get away with mounting it with the tank end up since the pickup is usually not that long and should stay well submerged in the oil.

Worst case -- pop the tank off and see whats in there.
