I have the opportunity to buy this box from my neighbor for $1200. I really don't need it but I am into, and have, Harleys and my garage is Harley themed. I keep trying to talk myself into it.

$1200 is a good price for that box. And the Harley theme is a bonus if your into that.

It's a nice box. If you can afford it why not treat yourself. Only live once!!!

Lol anyone that says Harley branded items are 'harder' to sell, needs to SERIOUSLY let all the guys making millions and millions and millions branding products with the bar and shield.

Personally I woud pay a gooood amount of money for that box, and I can think of at least a handfull of other people that would to, without trying. And some of them don;t even have tools...

And then there are those of us who wouldn't buy that box even if it was $600. I'd never own it. If I saw it on CL/Ebay...I'd just skip right over it.

The only people who would own that box are Harley owners and/or Harley memorabilia collectors. A small portion of the population...

Harley Davidson has an enormous following, far from niche. Certainly a lot better than a Rat Fink theme or some washed up Nascar/drag racer theme box. I honestly wouldn't worry about resale value in the slightest.

I have to say looking at the ebay pics the colors really pop, even I like it and im not a Harley person at all.

I am in no way a fan of Harley bikes or Matco tools or their boxes, but

If you like the box and the graphics on it, thats not a bad deal. Or you could turn and burn it to get the box you like.

Those boxes are solid, I owned one at one time. Looks like the graphics might be a wrap instead of paint. Could always remove the wrap.

I work at a transmission shop and two of the boxes there are harley themed. I don't ride bikes, or even particularly care for harleys, and I would rock that box for 1200 bucks....

Why do these threads get derailed? Half the talk is about what he could get for the effing box. The OP said he had a Harley themed garage, so obviously he wants it to keep in his garage. The question should be is it worth it or not. The box is worth $1200 all day long and the fact it matches his garage is a bonus. Shut up about the resale already or if you don't like it because you don't like Harleys.

I can't tell from the small pic (and my old vision), what series is that Matco box?

I have a 6s and it is very well built.

I don't know for sure but it has the spring loaded casters for either a 5 series with upgrade or a 6. I would jump on it.

Picked it up today. Its a 6s. 28" wide, almost 5' long, with the spring casters. I need to clean it up, lube the slides, and wax it, then I will post some pics.

a 6S for 1200 is a really decent deal. Basically the equivalent of a KRL.

I buy and sell boxes and tools. I would buy that in a heart beat for $1200. The Harley angle adds nothing to the price for resale, but that box is worth $2,000 all day long.

Its as big as my Road King and almost matches. I am extremely happy with my $1,200 purchase

Congrats on the "new to you" tool box . . . . it's a beauty !!

Gotta give you the GJ compliment . . . YOU **** !!

Whatever you did over years for the neighbor / moto rider discount, it was worth it. Enjoy that Matco.

that's a 2 bay matco, 1200$ is a pretty good price. I wouldn't pass on it.

I hate Harleys, and i would still buy it. I'd buy it and flip it to the Harley guys for $2000. If no one buys, I'd still have a great tool box.

i don't like Harley's nor graphic tool boxes but $1200 sound like a great price. did you get it yet?!

edit, just saw you bought it. those two look like they where made to be together lol. I don't hate harleys at all.. Motorcycling to me is about flying through corners. I'm not about 'cruising' or riding highways. I like dirt bikes and sport bikes, not overweight bricks. My friend is really into harleys and he will tell anyone that his bike cant corner for ****
