I got these ratchets that were in with in a set of -v- and =v= series vintage craftsman tools from an estate sale from an older man who owned them for many years they say. no markings on them at all. Any idea what era they are from and or who made them?

they are not craftsman. they look like the ratchets that came in sets from Japan in the 70's . no hidden treasure there unfortunately

here's one of mine

Look exactly like the ones that came with my first set of sockets that my parents got me which was the $9.99 set at Harbor Freight years ago which was good for 9 year old me but I would personally never grab them. Maybe for loaners. I haven’t touched the set in years.

I also have a similar one which is part of a tool set I inherited from my grandfather. Made in Japan and crafted pretty crude. Works if you're in a pinch and don't have anything better.
