Greetings from the Uk!
I'm in the final stages of my conversion but need some advice on how to approach the 20cm tile upstand around the room. I've started chopping out the bottom of the plasterboard (drywall) but the board adhesive is proving a pain.
The tiles are 10mm thick and I want them to sit just proud of the plaster/plasterboard (which is 12mm thick).
So are my only choices to chop out the blobs of adhesive, then refit plasterboard backing with minimal adhesive, thus leaving a nice surface about 8-10mm deeper than the main part of the walls?
I'm assuming 3mm wood ply type board would be too flexible?
