The construction is pretty heavy duty, weighs a lot more than an upscale Craftsman box I bought 20+ years ago. It also probably didn't help they had friction slides instead of ball bearingI bought both of mine from a distributor in western PA. They must of had a lot of quality control problems because most of the showroom was seconds. Both of mine were from this lot. One had peeling paint and the other had one drawer that was smaller than the others. I couldn’t beat the price. Overall the design was good and has held up well for over 30 years of hard use.
Jczoka, I turned your pictures into a pdf for the Tool Catalog Library with credit to you. I don't see any code in it that would give a date so used 1995.I bought 2 of these boxes in the 1990’s. A company called Valley Industries in NY bought out Aero’s toolbox line. I have an old catalog from when I bought them.
