Brad, tell us about your project.

Three car attached garage 900sf. Need to eliminate the constant dusting was thinking about epoxy, but I will never spend that kind of money. So now I am thinking a minimum of sealing, but maybe staining then sealing. The concrete is 6 yrs old with nothing done to it.

Excellent.
Acid stains are fantastic. Make sure you seal well post application.
There are a variety of sealers, epoxy, epoxy/urethane, acrylic.

Here are (2) nice pics from fellow GJ members.

I just had a slab laid for my two car detached garage rehab. I am really liking the look of stain. How long do I have to wait to add a stain? Also, are the more examples of the colors?

I live in Chicago so we get harsh winters and the city loves to dump tons of salt on the roads. I will park my car in the garage about 50% of the time/week.

If you will seal with an epoxy or epoxy/urethane sealer, then 4 weeks minimum.
If you plan on using an acrylic sealer you could get going 2-3 weeks.

Those winters in Chi-town are tough on coatings (deicer & road grit). I would plan on an epoxy sealer with the urethane topcoat if you can swing it. Lesser products will work but not last as long before needing attention.

Are you referring to either the HD6500 or Ultimate Sealer System? How often does the HD6500 have to be reapplied?

Scotty,
I saw that you have tintable sealer. What does the translucent white look like?

Thanks
Brad

I would use HD6600MMA for the more economical option and yes the ultimate sealer system for a much stronger option.

Brad:
You don't want to go translucent. You will see your roller marks. Only use those tints for opaque coverage. (2) coats, both tinted.

Do you have any pictures of the Tinted sealer applied. Any color will do to give me an idea of what it looks like

Thanks
