Working on a lifter 4Runner. This should be fine; just wondering if I should spend 2x that much on Hein Werner or Snap On Asian made stuff?

Aff 3 ton Jack is nice only had this a couple months so far so good

I like that u-cup seals are mentioned. I was at a "prominent regional chain" tire shop a while back, and noticed that they had AFF jacks. I didn't notice the ratings on them - just that they were the "red" (not yellow Viking) series jacks. If they give decent durability in a commercial application, I imagine they'd last a while for a DIYer. If I hadn't bought a Norco jack recently, I'd be looking at that promo closely.

I've had my AFF 200T jack for years now and it's an excellent jack. It's on the heavy side, but serves its purpose.

I have an aluminum AFF 2 ton jack that I used regularly. Hasn't let me down yet. Is it the best quality? Heck no. Sadly, it's made in China. But it gets the job done every time without issue or worry.

Ended up getting the Harbor Freight Daytona jack ($180) because of the awesome warranty. 3 Years, "bring it back & we'll give you a new one". HF staff was super friendly too, not sure why people act snobby about them. The Daytona HF floor jack is fairly nice. Good welds but took a little effort to lift a sedan. Steel wheels will probably do some damage to epoxy floors too. Probably a B+ overall, but we'll see.

AFF was similar in price, but a little nicer. It was my favorite of the 3. They said I'd have to pay for shipping & they'd let me know if it was warrantable for 1 year.

Hein Werner & other USA made models were more than 2x the cost @ $450 delivered, which I was willing to pay, but the warranty was only 1 year as well. I also didn't see much difference in overall quality/performance compared to the Asian models.

AFF has the best finish and feel of all 3 floor jacks I've looked at. The HF Daytona was probably the least good, but not bad at all really.
I am currently buying a pair of 10 ton Sunex Medium Height pin style stands, for the front frame,

Shinn Fu is a Taiwanese company, not Chinese. Their headquarters is in Taiwan. They do make stuff in China, though.

Update on the Harbor Freight Daytona 3 ton jack:
Great jack & lifts much higher than most, 23.5". Lifted my "lifted" 4Runner many times over the year or 2 without issues. Just lifted a corner of my 8x8 shed to add stone to level it out better. Great jack for the money, plus I have almost 2 years left on the warranty.
