I ended up buying a bunch of quite old Proto snap ring pliers from Stick Figure, along with a Blue Point set with a package of various tips. Then, my brother got me the Channellock snap ring pliers. So, for my immediate needs, I am set! Woohoo!

But as for the Toptul pieces, post a pic if you get a chance. How much were they?

Several years back I bought an eight piece set from Napa(KD Us made),and they have served me very well. For the bigger snap rings I've got an old Proto locking style plier.

I have a C-man set that I really don't like, and used a HF set that was junk. My favorite is a cheap pair that I probably picked up an an auto parts store a few decades ago. Nothing fancy but it works.

Mike, wants $37.09 for the 4pc set which is currently not in stock. I'm not sure how much he wants or if he has any of the individual pliers.

You can try contacting Steve at http://www.ultimategarage.com/, he used to have the set listed on the website, but I can't find it anymore. So, he may be out of them too.

Cheaper than Knipex, but I'd go for the extra $20 or so and get 10X the tool.

I'll pick up Toptul set if/when they are back in stock.

My convertible channel lock broke the second time I used it. I also have another cheap set with replaceable tips that also *****.

I have to pull c-clips on my bikes all the time and I've never had a good set of snap ring pliers. The crappy ones drive me crazy
