Hi everybody! I'm new to the forum and just wanted to show some pics of my homemade garage cabinets. I was looking for economy as well as function, and I think I pulled it off with these OSB and Poplar framed cabinets. They are 48"x31"x17" and they hold a tremendous amount of stuff!
I built them for $47.00 each minus hardware. At first I decided cheap hardware was getting slapped on, but given I had spent less than $250 for five cabinets at that point, I dropped the big coin on blum hinges ($200) and found decent pulls at Lowes for $2.75 each.
My total investment was $490.00 for cabinets with no finish on them. I pulled a gallon of polyurethane out of the workshop and sealed the wood with that at no cost.
Oh yeah, I added a hot & cold water spigot to the garage for a cost of approx $50.00 with PEX tubing. You can see the tubing above the cabinets and in the corner on the far left....

I usually go to imageshack.us and put them there, they give you 6 or so links you can copy and paste into your post FREE. And they will store your images in folders or "tags" for you.

Nice work, they look good. I'm not sure that I would have spent $200 for hinges though, but I'm cheap. :bounce:
