Hey guys. I'd like an affordable set of wobble sockets in 3/8 impact (but thin enough to use where a chrome would fit preferably). I don't want cheap as in the type that bind up at extreme angles. Your help is greatly appreciated? Probably Metric to start with. Deep or shallow?

Have you checked out Grey Pneumatic?. Those and Sunnex make some fairly decent sets for not a ton of money. But they might be thicker then you're looking for. I know for fact that both USA CM and GW don't handle impact duty for too long before they give you a big one fingered salute.

My whole 3/8 set of deep and shallow are gp. What am I looking for price range wise?

Less than $100 for 10-19mm. Visit tooltopia.com or eBay. Shop around for the best deal. GP, sunex, NAPA, or Gearwrench (not pinless) can all be had fairly cheap.

IMO, if you are looking for something affordable buy the matco (pinless) adapter and then a set of decent impact sockets, I have put the adapter next to the sockets and they are about the same profile...

Two totally different applications. Sunex/GP work just fine for impact. Pin-less style are nice if you need a little extra angle, or lock up the pinned ones due to extreme angle (17mm, was a frequent frozen size for me). FWIW, the pin-less style are a few mm longer than their non-pinned counterparts.

SK is reasonably priced if you shop around for the chrome style.

I don't remember who had the best pricing, CPO or Tool Topia. Also check Harry Epstiens too. I bought a GP set from them during their recent sale for a very good price.
