Hi to you all from Hot humid Durban, my first visit to this site and forum. I need some help, if anyone can advice me on a epoxy floor problem.
In October 2018 I epoxy coated my double garage floor. Concrete floor solid, no moisture and no holes or cracks. I used a grinding machine, vacumed, washed and cleaned over 2 weeks, all good, put my epoxy primer on, a water based from TAL, 12 hours later mixed up my grey 100% solids TAL epoxy base coat, broadcast flakes to max, walked on using spiked shoes, 12/13 hours later a Urethane waterbased top sealer coat. Left for 4 days to cure then my small sedan vehicles parked on the amazing floor, only 2 months later parked my Ford Ranger on it, brand new vehicle, after 3 weeks noticed a brown stain under tyres, tried everything recommended to get off, nothing helps, yesterday tried ammonia, nothing. Do you think Ford to heavy and sinking, although concrete 20 years old other big vehicles have been on floor. Help/ advice

Certain tire compounds coupled with certain urethanes can cause "leaching" onto the surface. Nothing you can do but possibly upgrade the clear-coat or place some mats down.

A picture would be good so we can see exactly what is happening.

Scotty is correct, certain tires have additives that can stain virtually any surface and can’t be removed. E have seen many garages obviously done from the same material and one side is perfect while the other side has some stains.

Higher performance tires seem to have this issue more. Parking pads are a solution.

hope these help, always thought 100% solids, nothing got through, stains, hot tyre pick up ect?

It's not in the epoxy, it is in the water-based urethane.
WB urethanes are the biggest culprits to this as they are the WEAKEST urethanes.

My garage door is open to sunlight most of the day, so what is the best Polyurethane to use, to block uv rays.
