I’ve been a member here forever, but never did manage to make any headway on the old place we lived in for 15yrs. The whole house needed rebuilding, and we were busy raising kids- so the garage stuff just never got done.

Anyway. Sold that one, bought a new place couple years ago, coated floor before moving in. Spent the weekend cleaning, purging, sorting, building shelves, and HANGING LIGHTS. Just a couple of HF LED tubes and it’s immediately so, so much more usable.

Feels good. Kinda feels like I’m not at ALL done now, though. Before today it was 60% covered up with junk. Still some to toss, but it’s getting better. Plus- if I can see in it, it’ll get used more. If it gets used more, it’ll keep evolving. Next trick is probably some medium-duty hanging shelves over the garage door.

Nice! I would figure out what I wanted short and long-term and pencil it out before I got too far along. I hate pouring a bunch of work into something I end up tearing out...

Painting is a lot easier before you get rolling with shelves and whatnot.
