Air bag code scanner question

I'm looking for a scanner that will clear air bag lights. Not too concerned about price, but needs to have reasonable update costs. It will be used professionally. I'm an auto body tech, not a mechanic. Currently looking at the Launch Diagun x431 and the Auto Enginuity.

I like the Snap-On units, but they're expensive to update and are probably overkill for what I need.

I would steer clear of the auto enginuity, I have one with professional software and upgrades and it truly ***** (at least for European) it's been a total waste of time and money. I demo'd a Launch "smartbox", it worked reasonably and did have the ability to read/clear airbag faults on a variety of manufacturers vehicles, the cheesy Chinese instructions were not very convincing that it was worth the price however.

Good luck. -Paul

Any experience with the Snap On Ethos? Seems like it may be a decent option. I mostly need this for ABS and SRS lights. And good European coverage is a must! I mostly work on high end euro cars.

The shop I work at has a Launch box (the lunch box :bounce:) and it works very well. One piece of advice: steer clear of the wireless adaptors. They are not a time saver at all. The box needs to sync up with the adaptor and it can take anywhere from 30 seconds to around 2 minutes, depending on what mood its in!

Besides that though, I really like the Launch system.
