Hi guys, I have the opportunity to buy a moderately used Air cat 1150 for cheap. The reverse forward lever on the back is stuck. My plan is to buy this and rebuild this but I have no experience rebuilding impacts. Does it require any special tools such as a bearing Press? ? Is the stuck lever an easy fix if I decide to not do a full teardown?

You don't need any special tools. Just remove the long torx head bolts and she will come apart. I recently broke the nose on mine, and i found that it is difficult to get parts yourself. Acrid, which is made by flordia pneumatic, only sells parts to authorized dealers. I had to order the replacement nose through my Mac guy. You may be able to just take it apart and clean it all out.

What you'll probably find is it's just bound up. It's aluminum and I've seen them that way before. They are a tight fit. Light sanding and a tad bit of grease and it'll turn again. Pay attention to the gasket/washer that fits at the back of it in-between it and the body when you put it back together. Be careful when you pull it out, there's a tiny detente ball and spring in the knob, if you don't it'll go flying and you'll never see it again.
