We use Flexzilla at work. Have had it for about 3 years and it is a nice hose. Not sure what it is made of though.

I would suggest two hoses. A rubber hose such as the others have mentioned and a coiled hose (the cheap yellow kind is fine). The rubber hose is great for things like impact wrenches that need a shot of air. However, for filling tires I've just found the cheap yellow hoses are easier to deal with. I don't have to coil it back up before putting it away, just hang it on the wall. Thus I have both.

Rubber on a reel.

Yup. I've got about 70 feet of Goodyear hose (bought it at Harbor Freight, of all places, 20 years ago) on an industrial-grade retractable hose reel right inside the garage door. I can pull the hose all the way over and air up tires in my neighbor's driveway!

I have a pair of Harbor Freight 50' hose reels hanging from my garage ceiling--one by the front for workbenches and another by the garage door for driveway work. They came with rubber hoses already on them. One of them is 15 years old and still going strong. Oddly enough, the newer one is less than 5 years old and I've already replaced the fitting on the working end due to cracked rubber. I guess even at Harbor Freight, they don't make 'em like they used to!
