How many and what type of air tools ar you going to be using? How much power do you have available? 110 volts limits you to Chinese 5 peak horsepower, really only 3 HP. ( 13CFM) 220 volts will get you up to 5 real HP(20 CFM)
Decide on which tools you will be using, then find how much air they use in CFM and size your compressor to provide enough air to run the largest tool.
Quincy makes some very good pumps. Two stage is best if you need pressures above 100 psi. 80 gallon tank and 5 horsepower should handle anything a homeowner could throw at it.
